If your answer is ‘YES’, then I believe we may have just the right thing for you!

As part of Resonance FM’s essential fundraising drive deXter Bentley presents ‘The Pay-As-You-Go Hello GoodBye Show’ whereupon we aim to sell off an episode of Hello GoodBye at the paltry rate of £10 per minute!

Hello GoodBye Show Info – Saturday 12th March 2011

Performing live in session on HG this Saturday we have both Poino and fos.

Tune in between noon and 1.30pm on 104.4 FM in Central London or on-line
via: www.resonancefm.com

London based avant-rock trio Poino sound like Darth Vader swallowing a swarm of hornets in a jam session with early Led Zep while hell-bent on a suicide mission to perform the very best of The Cardiacs. Their thunderous tunes surreptitiously twist and turn with all the grace of an effervescent HGV pirouetting in the eye of a tornado! Hear them trail blaze their way through a short set of live songs taken from their debut album ‘Moan Loose’, available now through Horse Arm Records.

fos is the contemporary folk music project of London based Greek artist Katerina Koutouzi. fos combines; accordion, glockenspiel, harmonium, piano, melodica, daouli (a traditional Greek drum) and conch (one of the oldest instruments on earth) with a subtle palette of crystalline electronics to create an altogether organic and melodic soundscape. fos has just recently released her latest LP ‘rock’.

…and also expect to hear a tour diary account from HG co-presenter Michael Garrad as he cruises the Burrito Bars of Chicago and Texas with his anarco-punk outfit Chips For The Poor. Follow their up to the minute exploits via Twatter: HERE

Hello GoodBye Show Info – Saturday 5th March 2011

The Magic Lantern and Outshine Family perform live in session on HG this Saturday lunchtime.

Tune in between noon and 1.30pm on 104.4 FM in Central London or on-line
via: www.resonancefm.com

The Magic Lantern are a 5 piece alt folk band who have taken their time working on a sound inspired by the lyrical directness of folk, the freedom of jazz and the experimental openness of contemporary classical music. The Magic Lantern are members of London’s F-IRE collective and were one of the founders of The Hectic Eclectic Collective with whom they continue to play and collaborate.
They are currently hosting a residency at The Green Note in Camden, London – next date 24 March 2011.

Outshine Family is a collective centred around Matthew Liam Nicholson, an Australian songwriter, composer and horticulturalist with a penchant for devastating melodies and quietly powerful arrangements.  Whether touring as a straight up avant rock band or recording composition pieces with a full orchestra, Outshine Family is the realization of Nicholson’s transcendental vision and a statement of fully realised ambition.

Plus, author and journalist Tim Burrows interviews the musician / artist Edwyn Collins about his current exhibition ‘Nature Punk’, on display until Sunday 6th March at the Idea Generation Gallery .

Hello GoodBye Show Info – Saturday 26th February 2011

Performing live in session on HG today we have Design A Wave, Flame Proof Moth and Gerry Mitchell.

Taking time off as keyboardist in the mighty Faust meets Sparks mash-up that is Cleckhuddersfax, Tom Hirst performs intense, hypnotic electro music as Design-A-Wave, all warm analogue synths and reverb vocals.  Design-A-Wave sounds like what the future used to sound like, when it was still mysterious and magical, before it became the present and then the past.

“Flame Proof Moth is Tim Siddall’s new project following the retirement of The Boycott Coca-Cola Experience. Whereas BCCE set out to save the world after over-dosing on Resonance FM’s Max Keiser (The Truth About Markets), FPM is just trying to enjoy what little time we have left. Despite the seemingly left-field nature of his new album Women Should Be In Charge, Flame Proof Moth is convinced he’s ready for a brush with the mainstream. Hard-talking managers should apply to flameproofmoth@gmail.com.”

Also, our resident poet Gerry Mitchell drops by to recite his – hot off the back of a fag packet – epic poem entitled; ‘The Empire Of My Heart’.

Hello GoodBye Show Info – Saturday 19th February 2011

*STOP PRESS* seminal post-punk legends The Monochrome Set perform live in session on Hello GoodBye this Saturday lunchtime.

Tune in between noon and 1.30pm on 104.4 FM in Central London or on-line
via: www.resonancefm.com

North London circa 1976, a young band of school chums, namely; Adam Ant, Lester Square, Andy Warren & Bid write and perform music together under the inauspicious name, The B-Sides.
Soon after, Adam Ant departs to embark upon his hugely successful pursuit of Chart-Topping A-Side singles. Meanwhile, the remaining trio carry on undeterred – albeit with a new moniker and new members – as The Monochrome Set.
Henceforth, this unashamedly fey, art-punk combo set forth on their seemingly hell-bent mission to studiously eschew de rigueur of fame and fortune afforded by their former band mate and in doing so unwittingly draw up an aesthetic blueprint that is later traced out by a select band of British musicians including, The Smiths, Blur & Franz Ferdinand (to name but a few!)

Set your dial to 104.4 FM in order to witness this ‘rare as hens teeth‘ live performance from the now newly reformed Monochrome Set, hear them fine tune their collective antenna prior to setting off on a series of sold-out shows from the UK to Japan and beyond!

Also, enjoy the final episode of Duncan McAfee’s 5 part, sound art mini-series “Your Voice Travels”, in which he explores the personal relationship with the human voice through a series of semi-autobiographical poetic vignettes combined with original music and audio artworks.
