Oxford’s Baby Maker cherry-picks and prods at the carcass of influence. His designer dog pop slop is the hard-won result of a painstaking process to reconstitute remnants of funk, new wave, and playful observational lyricism.
‘Mark Newlove composes his own songs in a bewildering mix of styles ranging from folk, pop, rock, sea shanties, psychedelia, country, and more. His is a palette of tuneful landscapes peppered by Alan Bennett type lyrics. Observing the small details of life and then blowing them up is his forte. Featuring; deXter Bentley’s annual Resonance FM fundraising spectacular The Pay-As-You-Go Hello GoodBye Show 2026. Listeners purchased air-time at the rate of £10 per minute with all proceeds going to help Resonance FM reach its total target of £30,000 by the end of February 2026.
The total amount raised via this PAYG initiative alone is £845 (and counting) with the radio station’s combined total (as of Sunday 15th February) currently at £3,722.

Saturday 7th February 2026: London based Scottish poet Gerry Mitchell teams up with the artist Tim Jones – improvising on piano – to expound upon the grinding plight of the underclass. The duos debut LP ‘Rust Taste Burnt Mouth’, is out this week via the independent imprint Teabar Records (111 limited edition lathe cut 12” vinyl records, each with individually hand-crafted sleeve designs created by Tim Jones).
