Hello GoodBye Show Info – Saturday 29th January 2011

Tune in between noon and 1.30pm on 104.4 FM in Central London or on-line
via: www.resonancefm.com

As per usual on HG, we have 2 different sets of live performers taking to the airwaves, with debut appearances from Duke Garwood and Benjamin Prosser.

South London based artist Duke Garwood has fermented a 100% pure potion of grizzled and meditative avant-blues for his latest offering ‘Dreamboatsafari’ (Fire Records) This afternoon he embarks upon his sonic quest with his long standing cohorts – and top-notch improvisers – Paul May (drums) and Dylan Bates (violin) playing alongside him.

Benjamin Prosser has appeared on the show on a number of occasions (Jamboree, Congregation & The Tap Collective) but this is his first solo offering. As with all of Ben’s previous outfits, his propensity towards a contemporary blues style prevails, propelled along with a delicate and yet seemingly relentless intensity.

Also, tune-in to hear the second episode of “Your Voice Travels” by Duncan McAfee. This five part mini-series explores the personal relationship with the human voice through a series of semi-autobiographical poetic vignettes laced together with original music and audio artworks.

…and we have the second part of our interview with The Jeffrey Lewis and Peter Stampfel Folk Show conducted by the poetmusician Jack Underwood.
