The Hello GoodBye Show kick starts 2015 in some style with live music from Vic Godard and the Subway Sect and The Wave Pictures.
Vic Godard and the Subway Sect’s musical heritage stretches all the way back to the eye of the Punk Rock storm when they were invited by Malcolm McLaren to bolster the now legendary Punk Festival at the 100 Club in 1976. Vic’s prolific songwriting career has since seen him move effortlessly through a kaleidoscopic array of musical genres including Punk, Swing, Jazz, Northern Soul and more. Check out the recently released LP’s, the retrospective ’30 Odd Years’ and the Northern Soul inspired ‘1979 Now!’.
The Wave Pictures will perform songs from their forthcoming and much anticipated new LP ‘Great Big Flamingo Burning Moon’ (due for release on Moshi Moshi Records on the 15th February). The album was co-written and recorded with one of their heroes, Billy Childish, using his guitars and amplifiers, and recorded in Rochester at the great Ranscombe Studios.
Listen live via Resonance FM between midday and 1.30pm (GMT).
