Hello GoodBye info – 19.04.14 – Ft: Kirsten Knick, CRX091081GB + Witching Waves

Three live acts perform live in session on Hello GoodBye today.

Featuring Twin Peaks’ish atmospheric pop from Kirsten Knick, pastoral acid from CRX091081GB and garage punk from Witching Waves.

Kirsten Knick was born in San Fransisco and spent her childhood sailing on the ocean and in company of wild animals which all helped to form the bed of inspiration that still drives her musical creativity today. Kirsten recently based herself in Europe and began recording with Rupert Clervaux (Sian Alice Group, Spiritualized, Hot Chip and Spring Heel Jack) at his London studio, experimenting with new instrumentation and approaches to complement her instinctive and spontaneous songwriting.

CRX091081GB is the music computer of Belfast based audiovisual artist Robin Price. Together they make music that draws in ambient influences from the countryside and tones inspired by post apocalyptic visions of the near future. Synth heavy pastoral acid / gloom-core / doom disco.

Witching Waves have only recently birthed but have already soldered an effective, minimalist framework between female/male vocal interplay, binary drumming and a solo guitar conjuring the ghosts of underground 90s riot grrrl punk.

Tune in on 104.4 FM in Central London or on-line via Resonance FM between noon and 1.30pm (GMT).
