Today: A special feature with members from; Slate Islands, The Awkward Silences, David Cronenberg’s Wife and Sergeant Buzfuz, discussing the forthcoming release of The 12 Bar Club Blang EP, the ninth in a series of twelve legacy EP releases via London Callin’ Records, celebrating the much loved and sadly missed ‘original’ 12 Bar Club situated on Denmark Street in the heart of London’s Tin Pan Alley. Joe Murphy (Sergeant Buzfuz) hosted his original Blang nights at the venue for a full decade between 2002 & 2012. All four artists included on the EP performed regularly at these nights over the course of the tenure. The 12 Bar club proved a rare, Central London haven and creative hotbed for experimentation for this ever enthusiastic troupe of proud, self proclaimed ‘outsiders’.
The launch party for the EP is taking place on Saturday 1st April 2023 at the The Betsey Trotwood pub in Farringdon, tickets available here:
